Motherhood

I absolutely love being a mother!  Nothing is more important to me than being with my kids every single day, even if the majority of the day they are the only ones I have to talk to!  When you talk to nothing but babies each day you start talking in this baby language. Then you get around adults and start talking to them like one of your kids and it's just not pretty!
BUT motherhood is most definitely the best job I have ever had!
And it's an absolutely awesome feeling when you get credit for all the work you do.  Mom's do everything for their kids without asking for anything in return and usually you don't get much when your kids are young like mine.  So when your son turns to you out of nowhere and says "Mommy you're my princess and my best friend!" all the fits, temper tantrums, and fights over picking up legos all become worth it!
It feels even better when your husband recognizes how hard you work, especially when it's just an ordinary day!
Today I had a dentist appointment very early in the morning.  My husband told me that because he was going to stay home with the kids while I went to my appointment, that he would do most of Ava's feedings during the night (she eats every two hours :/).  So around 3 in the morning I could tell he just wasn't going to make it so I took over the feedings, later got ready and went to my appointment.  I came home a little before noon and my husband just look absolutely drained!  And as he was leaving to go back to work he turned and said "I don't know how you do it, you're like a damn super hero!"  Big smile!  Sometimes that's all I need.  He does appreciate me!  He has never said otherwise but sometimes when he comes home tracking dirt everywhere or when he leaves his dishes in the sink, I can feel less than appreciated though I know that's never his intentions!
It's always nice to hear your family needs you even if you would do it all for them anyways!

BooBooBear

Ava is at the awesome stage where she can just lay there hanging out with you, cooing and gurgling.  And when you talk to her the goofy grins can just melt your heart!  I say it about every age but this really is one of my favorite times (2 months)!
I love when strangers try to talk to her and she gives them nothing but when I come into view, the grins are endless!  She lubs her Mama!
I love having a boy and a girl.  Getting to see the differences between them.  And at only 2 months the differences are very obvious or at least they are to me!  This girl LOVES to talk!  We sit and we have story time and I will ask her to tell me a story and she will just go off cooing, yelling, and making all these funny sounds.  My son thinks I'm crazy!  "She's just a baby Mom!  See?  She can't talk!"  But I know what she's saying ;)
I don't know why I was ever worried that I wouldn't be able to love another baby like I love my son!  But boy did my heart just double its size when I laid eyes on her!  I can just stare at both of my children for hours and feel nothing but love!  You really don't know true love till you have children!  Being a mother has far exceeded my hopes and expectations!

Astro J

I wish I could see the world through the eyes of my son.  I love the imagination he has!
The games and the stories he acts out amaze me.  The mind of a little boy is just too much!  I love sitting in the window, out of his sight, just listening to him battle aliens in "outer space" as he jumps from branch to branch as if he is hoping around the moon like an astronaut.
Which at this point in his little life is what he wants to be when he grows up.  His exact words: "When I am big like Daddy, I'm going to get a rocketship and be an astronaut.  And I'm going to go to Mars and Saturn first, those are my favorite!"  But he always reassures me with a "Mommy don't worry I'll come back to earth for some kisses and hugzes"
Everyday he becomes less and less my baby and becomes this little independent boy.  I watch him and my mommy heart just aches for him to stay my little baby love.  At the same time getting to watch your children so closely, grow right before you is beautiful.
